Building/Grounds Manager

Janitorial 

Part Ime Janitorial postion available. Weekday hours.  General cleaning of facility.  Applicants should apply by filling out Y Application and submit to the Executive Director.

 

PT Child Watch Attendants:  Caring responsible persons wanted to fulfill duties of Child Watch Center/Duties include supervising children (6 months-8yrs).  Supervision includes hands on interaction and care for children while parents are using facilities.  Currently, weekday mornings and evening shifts available.
 

Building Supervisors:  Responsible, enthusiastic individuals needed to assist Y staff in supervision of facility and activities.  Duties include but are not limited to, assist in customer service when needed, meeting and party set up, roaming of entire facility, member engagement, staff supervision and direction etc.  Hours available: Some weeknights and Fridays 4pm - close and some weekends.

 

Lifeguards and Swim Instructors:  Individuals needed to fill many different shifts.  Must be a minimum of 15yrs old and possess Lifeguard and CPR/First Aid certifications. 

 

Youth and Adult Recreation Staff/Officials:  Responsible adults to work with in program areas.  Contact CJ Nelson to see how you may join in on these many great opportunities.

 

Group Exercise Instructors:  Individuals needed to conduct Group Exercise classes throughout the week.  Variety of classes to be offered.  Interested in bringing something new to the offerings? (Zumba, PUMP) or others. 

 

Personal Trainers:   Are you passionate about health, fitness, and love to stay active?

The Worthington Area YMCA has leadership opportunities for part and full time Personal Trainers to join our team. The Personal Trainer follows the YMCA of the USA Health and Fitness guidelines and is responsible for planning and leading a range of individualized or group exercise/activity sessions for clients in a fitness specialty area. Fitness Floor Supervisor: The Fitness Desk/Floor Supervisor is responsible for assisting all members/guests with equipment utilization; assisting in maintaining fitness equipment; and orientating new members with the Fitness Center. Contact Cory (ext. 230) for more information.

 

Front Desk Staff: Friendly, outgoing, responsible individuals needed to work the  YMCA front desk. For more information contact Lawre at the YMCA. 


 

Youth Program Volunteers:

YMCA youth program volunteers are needed to lead, coach, supervise, and referee games and practices within each program.  The time and effort will be rewarding for both you adn the children in the program.  To volunteer, contact CJ at 376-6197 ext. 226 to get more information.

 

Y PALS Mentors Needed:

Men and women VOLUNTEERS are needed to act as role models for young people.  The time these mentors spend with a young person, an hour a week, help enable these young people to meet certain challenges in their lives.
