At the Y, a supportive community is a big part of wellness. At every age and every level of activity, you’ll find people just like you looking to live a little bit healthier. Members and program participants often cite the support and enthusiasm of fellow participants and staff as some of the key factors in their achievement of greater well-being.

 

Boot Camp

Boot Camp will consist of small group training incorporating cardio, weight training and core strengthening into the workout. This will be an advanced level class that will push your limits and get the most out of your workout! Pre-registration for this class is a must! Minimum of 3 people, maximum of 8. Sign up with your friends or as a group. Available to YMCA Members and Non-members. Session registration opens Wednesday December 21st at midnight FOR ALL SESSIONS. Monday & Wednesday Classes 5:45am-6:30am

Winter 1: January 9th - February 8th

Winter 2: February 13th - March 22nd

Winter 3: April 3rd - May 3rd

 

Tuesday & Thursday Classes 5:45am-6:30am

Winter 1: January 10th - February 9th

 

Winter 2: February 14th - March 23rd

 

Winter 3: April 4th - May 4th

Y-Members: $30 per session (10 classes)

Non-Members: $75 per session (10 classes)

 

 

 

Group Exercise Classes

The Y offers classes for all levels and all interests. From low-impact exercise and chair classes, stretching and strength training to indoor cycling, water exercise, and yoga, you’ll find a group class that’s fun, supportive and keeps you moving. For a current Group Exercise class schedule, please contact the front desk, or stop by the YMCA and pick up a hard copy. Children may participate in land based Group Exercise classes if they are a minimum of 14 years old with the permission of the Health & Fitness Director. Classes include:

  • Tabata
  • Xplosion
  • inBalance Yoga
  • FUSION
  • Group Cycling
  • Yoga
  • Zumba

Personal Training

 

We all need the advice of an expert sometimes, as well as the personal attention that comes with a trainer or coach. The Y offer personal training and coaching to help you set and meet your specific goals in order to live healthier.

Aqua-Tone

This aquatics exercise class is held between the indoor and outdoor pool. This class consists of warm-up, aerobic toning and cool-down segments. This class will utilize in and out of pool exercises. Limited to 8 participants. 10 classes per session.

 

Summer 1: June 6th – July 14th (11 classes) no class on Monday July 4th

Summer 2: July 18th – August 18th (10 classes)

 

Y-member: $20.00

Non-member: $45.00

We are now offering Program Registration online. Online program registration can be used for most YMCA programs. If you are looking for a particular program, and it does not seem to available in our online registration system, please feel free to call the YMCA for more information.  

 

If you have never registered for a program at the Worthington Area YMCA, please review the step by step instruction guide below. If you are currently a member, or a new registrant, and you are having issues with the system, please contact Cory Greenway, CJ Nelson or Mark Wibbens so we can assist you with the registration process.
