Youth Recreational Programs

Youth Programs coming this Winter

Cheerleading Camp - K-5th Grade

Jan. 29-Feb. 2 - 3:45-4:45pm at the Y with a special performance during halftime at the WHS Basketball game on February 2nd. 

Basketball:

Kindergarten 

5 Week instructional program for teaching the basic skills of basketball for boys & girls.
Session 1 - January 5 - February 2
Session 2 - February 16 - March 16

 

Youth Basketball

6 week program will have 30 minute practices and games that are played in 2-16 minute halves. 
Session 1 - Jan 3 - Feb 10 from 3:45-5:15 - Practice on Wednesdays and Games on Saturdays
Session 2 - Feb 28 - Mar 24th from 3:45-5:15 - Practices on Wednesdays and Games vary
 

Traveling Basketball

This is for youth 3-8 grade. Practice and tournament play. Will begin in early January
 

Gym & Swim 2-4th Grade: 

Session 1: Kickball 

January 9 - February 8 from 3:45-5:00pm

Session 2: Floor Hockey

February 13 - March 15 from 3:45-5:00pm
 

Soccer:

Youth K-6th Grade

Teams will be co-ed and divided according to grades. Jerseys & balls will be provided. Players must supply their own shin guards and closed toe shoes (cleats optional)

 

Futbol Club Taveling

For Boys & Girls ages 9-19. Registration deadline is January 31st

All POWER programs are developed under an umbrella of proven scientific principles supported by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and USA Weightlifting.
